Synopsis | Sieze the Heir
It is the last night of Hogswatche, and the Patrician of Ankh
Morpork is holding the Annual Hogswatchnight Ball for the nobles of the
city. For the event, a play entitled "Ejvdicvs the Seer" has been
commissioned to be performed by Players from The Dysk. As well, Lady
Sibil Ramkin has pleaded with the Patrician to host a 'Myrdur Mysterie'
written by herself, "Like they do in foreign parts (with costumes!)".
The Ball is abuzz with talk of recent events: the theft of a
ledger (or was it a script) from The Dysk; the murder of Limey Wilson;
the appearance of the mysterious Count de Money; and a land dispute.
With twelve plotters plotting (over a 'Myrdur Mysterie' at the
very least), Eleven Priests a' praying (that all will end well), Ten
Nobles niggling (over anything and everything), nine schemes a'
hatching (a dispute, a Hogfather, an inpersonation, an investigation,
several love stories, a murder, a mysterie, a play in disaster and the
press in attendance!), eight colours clashing (octarine included),
seven dwarves a' drinking (including an honourary dwarf!), six servants
serving, five loyal guards (both on-duty and off-duty), four fools in
love (working up enough courage to follow through with their
convictions), three wise men (in a lot of trouble!), two assassins (the
myrderer and the murderer of Limey Wilson), and the death of the
Patrician (on-stage and possibly off-stage as well...), it's going to
be a busy night!
(Yes, every verse was worked into this Freeform!)
